How to reduce CO2 production
Using alternate energy sources
Hydro Power
Hydro power uses flowing water to create energy. This energy is then used to create heat and lighting. This does not completely get rid of co2 production but it will reduce the amount used. Hydro power accounts for about 7% of the electricity used by the world.

Solar Power
Solar power uses the suns energy to make heat and light. This happens in solar panels, inside these pannels there are tons of tiny little cells. These cells then fill up with sunlight, causing them to fill up with energy. This depletes lots of co2.
How solar power is used and captured
Geothermal Power
The most common way of capturing energy from steam and water deep into the earth's surface. The earth's contains 50,000 times more energy than all the oil and natural gas resources in the world. Geothermal energy is one of the few kinds of renewable energy that can supply continuous base load power.
Wind Power
As the blades of wind turbines turn, their central shaft spins a generator to make electricity.Wind turbines placed at sites with strong wind can generate electricity without making pollutants. Wind power supplies one percent of U.S. electric needs, but that amount is increasing rapidly.

Biomass Power
Biomass is organic material made from plants and animals also, known as microorganisms. Biomass contains stored energy from the sun. Plants capture the sun's energy in a process called photosynthesis. The chemical energy in plants gets passed on to animals and people that eat them. Biomass creates energy from the sun, but it does produce some co2 because of the plants, but not that much.
What you can do to help.
You can help to make less co2 production, this can happen by using different sources of energy. Your parents, can help by investing in solar pannels for solar energy, or if you live next to a wind power plant you can use their power.
